Weddings can take months, sometimes years, to plan. There are so many different things to consider when planning a wedding, such as the venue, DJ, catering, flowers, dresses, bridesmaids and groomsmen, the list goes on. It can be a very intensive process planning and executing, but in the end it should all be worth it to have your dream wedding day. One of the biggest, and arguably one of the most important, investments you’ll make on your wedding day is your photographer. They will be working tirelessly right beside you, capturing every important moment on your special day. That’s why finding a wedding photographer who understands your vision and is capable of capturing your wedding day flawlessly is such an important investment.
The price of a wedding photographer in Ohio can vary depending on a few different things. A photographer’s experience and skill level, along with whether or not they do weddings full time or only occasionally. On average, it can range anywhere from $1000-$5000+ for a wedding photographer. If you come across someone willing to shoot a wedding for less than $1000, then chances are they have either never shot a wedding before or they are inexperienced at wedding photography. There is nothing wrong with that! Everyone has to start somewhere; you just need to keep that in mind when choosing the photographer, you want to capture your big day. Weddings are such important events, complications can arise like poor weather, power outages, and getting off schedule. Having someone who is experienced with shooting weddings will be of the utmost importance especially if any unforeseen complications do arise.
On the other hand, potographers in the $3000+ range are generally photographers with significant experience and have the proper equipment and knowledge to take on any challenges that may happen during your wedding day.
This is a question that only you can answer. Anywhere in the mid-range, from $2000-$4000 will ensure you have hired someone who has enough experience to successfully capture your wedding day. In general, this will be enough to cover from the bride and groom getting ready all the way through part of the dancing and fun at the reception. However, if you’re wanting to have more than 8-10 hours captured, prepare to be spending more.
My wedding packages vary on what is included, this is to appeal to a variety of wedding clients. All packages include at least 4 hours of wedding day coverage and a personalized wedding timeline. They also include an online gallery for you to view, download, and share all of the images from your wedding day, and you also receive personal printing rights to the images in your gallery, so you are welcome to order prints, albums, etc. from any lab of your choosing. Some of my packages include a second photographer, engagement session, and a personalized USB containing your wedding photos.
Definitely not. There are no hidden fees or costs in addition to the package that you select. Taxes and the card processing fees are already built into the package, so the only additional cost you would incur would be if you choose to add something on to your package last minute such as an heirloom film or an additional hour(s) of photography coverage.
I do! If you need extra hours than what is included in the wedding package, I’ll be able to add additional hours depending on how many you’d like. I am also able to personalize a wedding package to specifically suit your needs. This is to ensure you’re getting exactly what you want on your wedding day.
Yes, I am available for destination weddings! I love to travel and see new places, so let’s plan something spectacular together. Depending on how far away it is, things like airfare and lodging may be required. This is something that we would discuss together, I am completely transparent with travel fees and try my best to find the most affordable options while traveling.
Yes, I can. I carry liability insurance, and any photographer you choose to capture your wedding day should also carry some form of insurance. Some venues require photographers to show proof of their insurance and others don’t, it depends on the venue.
Overall, there is a lot that goes into selecting a wedding photographer for you. Only you know what your budget is, and what your expectations are from your wedding photographer. It’s important to find someone you get along well with, because they will be there by your side on your wedding day. These will be some of the most important images you have captured, and you will want to have them to look back on for many years to come.
